Job description
Duties Serves as the Director of Training Sustainment, with full delegated authority to act in managing and executing DOTS logistical (supply/maintenance/transportation) missions. Responsible for oversight planning, programming, and directing of the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) training support logistics missions providing for Class V, Class III, Class VII and transport (tactical). Supervises a variety of occupations including technical, administrative, supervisory, Federal Wage employees, and clerical. Financial responsibility operations and maintenance appropriations (OMA) and general budget oversight. Performs constant surveillance, in-depth technical studies, analyses, and extensive technical management to respond to the changes and demand placed on the Command logistics program. Serves as logistical technical and administrative advisor and consultant to the command, MCoE G-4, and MCoE School training organizations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires that the incumbent occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 20% of the time. The incumbent will be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Position is designated as Mission Essential (IAW DODI 3024.42 and DTM 17-004) position during Inclement Weather Conditions or other designed/identified emergency conditions One-year probationary period maybe required. Supervisory probationary period required. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directs the work of a large civilian and military table of distribution and allowances (TDA) organization performing logistical services making binding decisions and commitments, leveraging extensive logistical in supply, ammunition, and transportation, as well as understanding regulatory and statutory requirements and the perspectives of superiors; AND performs budgeting functions including consolidating estimates and preparing justification for a consolidated budget; AND provides management for executing logistical functions of Program of Instruction (POI) equipment, ammunition, fuel, supply and transportation in support of the installation training base; AND oversees supply operations to include review of requirements, procurement by requisition or local procurement, receipts, storage, issues, and inventory functions; AND maintain control of all associated equipment and mission support property . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-14).
