Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to market and sell insurance products and services offered by Ritter Insurance Marketing and Chastain Agency to clients in the Gainesville, GA area. The role involves seeking out new clients, developing clientele by networking, and completing applications for insurance coverage with clients. The successful candidate will fully understand and use all online services provided by Ritter Insurance Marketing and Integrity Marketing Group, and perform administrative tasks as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Selling insurance products to clients in the Gainesville, GA area.
  • Seeking out new clients and developing clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Completing applications for insurance coverage with clients via either in-person or telephonic appointment.
  • Assuming responsibility to fully understand and use all online services provided by Ritter Insurance Marketing and Integrity Marketing Group. This includes Medicare quote engine, Ritter CRM, Shop & Enroll, Agent Enroll, Ritter forums, and any carrier-specific online enrollment portals.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals and updating systems as needed.
  • Assuming responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Primary Skills & Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Certification: Must be licensed to sell health insurance in Georgia. May also be required to be licensed in additional states. Must complete the Medicare AHIP and any carrier-specific training.
  • Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship. Basic understanding of Medicare and Medicare products. Knowledge of marketing and new business operations and procedures.
  • Experience Required: Insurance sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, customer service skills, computer and typing skills, and organizational skills. Ability to meet the sales and production goals, as determined by management. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone.
  • Core Competencies: The Agent is expected to demonstrate strong sales motivation, service delivery, client relationship management, and job knowledge. The Agent will maintain and update their knowledge of new products to pursue a program of development for personal and business skills.
