Overview:
Summary/objective
The Field Technician II will be based inside an automotive repair shop and will assist in the virtual diagnostic scans and calibrations for vehicles involved in collisions. Your ability to effectively manage time and organize resources while also professionally interacting with asTech customers is essential.
Essential functions

Serve as primary client contact as needed within the service process
Promoting the necessity for diagnostic and calibrations at assigned shop
Coordinate and set-up vehicles for a diagnostic scans including required manual diagnostic tests and technical evaluations to assist the remote technician
Coordinate and set-up vehicles for calibrations utilizing TruPoint and/or setting up dynamic calibrations
Responsible for driving customer or company vehicles for the purpose of delivery, testing or calibration
Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules

Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of experience in the automotive industry at an entry level position and/or as a Lube Technician
Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required
Understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo
Basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-motivated, high energy and a client-focused perspective
Reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
A technical or vocational school participant/graduate preferred
New car dealership experience is considered a plus
Supervisory responsibilities
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
This job operates inside an automotive repair shop environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
Physical demands
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
Must be able to carry and transport up to 75 pounds up to 20 feet.
Requires standing for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Requires frequent driving and some typing. Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
Travel required
Some travel within the assigned geographic area is expected.
