About the Role

The Product Analyst is a key member of a cross-functional feature team, working alongside Software Engineers to deliver high-impact features that enhance our platform. With a strong understanding of the domain, the Product Analyst will ensure the team builds quality products that meet user and business needs. This role includes direct involvement in feature development, quality assurance, backlog creation and refinement, and being the voice of both the team and the user to the broader organization. The Product Analyst will also be a critical point of contact for production support and documentation. Functions of the role include:

Domain Expertise

  • Deeply understand the domain your team is responsible for and act as the go-to resource for that knowledge.
  • Lead exercises to model domain knowledge into actionable backlog and assist in team refinements.
  • Offer insights on ho w features should be prioritized based on user needs and business goals.

QA

  • Validate the quality of product features through manual QA processes.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive test cases and test suites & run tests during sprint iterations. You'll also perform smoke testing in production or staging environments

User Advocacy

  • Be the voice of the user within the team during refinement and planning sessions.
  • Ensure that user needs are front and center in all decision-making processes.

Team Representation

  • Serve as the representative of the feature team to other scrum teams and business units.
  • Effectively communicate the status of the team's work, including current and upcoming backlog items, and advocate for team priorities.
  • Represent the team's viewpoint during Service Area ceremonies and other cross-functional meetings.

Backlog Development

  • Coach and mentor team members on best practices for backlog development.
  • Help the team create and refine user stories that meet the INVEST criteria as part of the LeSS framework.
  • Advocate for prioritization of backlog based on domain knowledge, business priorities, and collaboration with Product Management.

Support and Issue Triage

  • Act as the first point of escalation for issues related to functional features shipped by the team.
  • Perform initial diagnosis and triage of issues, and be available on a regular, scheduled basis to provide support for urgent production issues.

Feature Configuration

  • Assist with configuration adjustments as needed and clearly communicate these options to stakeholders outside the team.

Documentation

  • Create clear and concise documentation of features and functionality delivered by the team, including both narrative and presentation formats.
  • Collaborate with team members as needed to ensure comprehensive documentation.


Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience level

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Four (4) years of experience as a liaison between internal/external business leads and the end user community in an Agile/Large-scale Scrum environment .

Location & Citizenship Requirements

As this will support a U.S.-based healthcare client, it is required that you also meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Current U.S. citizen with no employment restrictions or sponsorship requirements. If you are not a current U.S. citizen, we cannot consider you for this role
  • Located in the U.S. and able to work full-time remotely (this team will be distributed)

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manual QA processes, domain modeling (including domain-driven design), and backlog development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent both the user's and team's perspectives to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Proficiency in creating documentation that is both technical and user-facing.

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience in healthcare technology or familiarity with healthcare delivery platforms is a plus.
  • High level of adaptability to changing work environments
