Overview:
Operator Technology Engineering serves Chick-fil-A Operators by building technical products that reduce complexity and enable business outcomes at scale in a collaborative, engaging and high-growth environment.

Within Operator Technology Solutions, Restaurant Payroll & Labor serves Chick-fil-A Operators across many Team Member functions, enabling systems for hiring, scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and more. This role will work with DTT functional product leaders and Financial Services to evaluate the feasibility of business requirements and partner closely with business stakeholders to influence roadmaps, scope and scale of functionality and the overall technical and functional strategy.

Responsible for the software engineering streams of Labor Hub, Vendor Bridge, Workforce Management and TimePoint, the leader in this role will also look to the future, helping chart a course for Chick-fil-A's labor and payroll systems that Operators will use to hire and pay more than one million Team Members each year. Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver technical strategy and design

Partner with DTT and Business leaders for strategic use of technology

Ensure the quality, excellence, scalability and sustainability of engineered outcomes

Focus on the health and growth of staff engineers

Hone the engineering practice of staff and partner engineers.

Responsibilities:
Serve as the people leader for staff software engineers, developing professional and technical development plans, providing encouragement as well as constructive feedback, helping to remove obstacles and solve problems that keep them from focusing on engineering, and in general serving and representing your team.

Serve as the technical leader for Restaurant Labor Technology software engineering teams composed of both staff engineers as well as contract engineers. You will own solution architecture decisions (collaborating with Solution and Enterprise Architecture and other engineers) for the products your teams build, lead delivery and operation of the products, mentor your staff software engineers technically, and select and oversee the contract engineers with which you work.

Contribute as the technical solution partnership to the Restaurant Labor Technology group and broader Financial Services team

Serve as a member of the interview team selecting future engineering team members for Chick-fil-A.

Facilitate and oversee professional consulting agreements needed to scale with the team's development and support needs

Lead, develop and engage direct reports to model Chick-fil-A's core values and guiding principles

Responsible for workforce engagement, recognition and development

Hold direct reports accountable for achieving team goals and objectives, as well as coaching and mentoring

Minimum Qualifications:
7 years of experience in technology solutions delivery

5+ years of leadership experience in Software Development and DevOps Engineering practice

5+ years of product or platform leadership experience ensuring stakeholder outcomes

5+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure

Experience with computer vision, machine learning, and IoT technologies

Proven track record of designing, deploying, and supporting large scale distributed computing systems in a mission critical environment

Strong understanding of Linux system tools, filesystems, and operating system management methodologies

Working knowledge of Python, GO and associated frameworks

Experience with REST API endpoint development and use

Strong collaboration mindset to gather input from multiple diverse stakeholders to drive a product strategy

Ability to connect high-level product vision with daily activities of the team

Models skilled problem-solving techniques and analytical expertise

Good communication skills including influencing and team facilitation

Experience effectively developing, coaching, and mentoring individuals/teams and/or direct reports

Ability to recognize strengths in individuals and deploy talent effectively to leverage that skill

Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands

Demonstrated self-discipline

Demonstrated learning agility, capacity to learn and lead under new or changing business conditions

Proven ability to apply practical business acumen to partner effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong technical aptitude and leadership as well as business-outcome focused

Software Engineering experience in a DevOps environment.

Ability to partner with Engineering stakeholders to deliver the most relevant and effective engineering tools

Ability to gather product feedback and steward the products and tools according to DTT needs

Ability to lead a portfolio of delivery tools through a team of continuous delivery

Ability to navigate through a challenging situation, ensuring all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect
