Job description

Work hours: This contract is part time up to 20 hours/week. There is some flexibility with the work hours.

The client is looking for extensive CA-IDMS experience. This position is maintenance with no new development.

Must Have:

  • This individual should have more than 10 years of experience in CA-IDMS

    Nice to Have:

  • DB2zos application and system support experience.

    Top Skills & Years of Experience:

  • Install and customize CA-IDMS and third-party software with vendor-specific installation.

  • Provide technical direction within the team.

  • Provide mentoring to others inside and outside the team Research and evaluate software products.

  • Ensure 24x7x365 Business reliability, availability, and scalability Support of Capacity Planning, Disaster Recover, etc.

  • Advanced knowledge of components of z/OS operating system, CICS/TS, IDMS, TSO.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of z/Enterprise server technology. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Able to document and troubleshoot problems and communicate with technical personnel at all levels.

  • Able to assist with database-level work. General Maintenance of IDMS structures.

    The Client is looking to add a new advanced to expert level ZOS Systems Programmer to our team. The team member will provide backup support for application DB2 and IDMS DBAs for some of the client's largest mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train less knowledgeable employees in the day-to-day activities required to maintain the DBMS software and processes. The candidate will be well-versed in process management and review, looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.

    Equipment: Candidate will use their own laptop/device and connect to the Client systems via virtual machine.
