Job description

Provide Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) engineering and Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing oversight services to DoD customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Review technical documents (ICDs, Mechanical drawings, requirements, performance specifications, test plans and test reports) and provide feedback to our customers related to EMI/EMC matters.

Identify EMI/EMC risks and issues and provide recommended resolutions to our customers for those risks and issues.

Develop and/or provide input to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs and schedule.

Perform requirements analysis and provide input to the design, implementation, test and installation of electrical and electromechanical subsystems onto combat vehicle system.

Perform project management duties and create related documents to support these efforts.

Develop and review engineering and contractual Scopes of Work (SOWs) for prime contractor. Interface daily with customers and other DoD organizations to solve problems.

Participate in and oversee EMI/EMC testing.

Travel as required, expected to be less than 10%.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 15 years of experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Experience with antenna cosite analysis and radio frequency (RF) desensitization.

Expertise in electromagnetic Interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Electrical Environmental Effects (E3) and spectrum supportability.

Familiar with MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 464.

Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience.

Project management experience.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of system engineering on DoD ground combat vehicles.

Experience with the ground combat vehicles.

Experience working with TACOM, GVSC, PEO Ground Combat Systems, PEO C3T and PM offices within the Army Materiel Command.

Understanding of the Army acquisition process.

Experience with in-vehicle data networks.
