The Director of Regional Thought Leader Liaisons (RTLLs) - Alzheimer's Disease (AD) Marketing will lead a team of 6 field-based RTLLs. The RTLLs will appropriately engage with Regional Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs), Regional/State Professional Societies (PSs) and National-Regional KOLs to develop insights and best practices that can help simplify the Early AD patient journey and inform brand strategy. The Director will identify strategic collaborations with KOLs and regional PAGs/PSs. Ensure strategic direction is communicated to and executed compliantly by the RTLLs. Champion AD innovation and appropriate external stakeholder collaboration opportunities that advance the business and serve to fulfill our mission of human health care ( hhc ).
Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead the RTLL - East team, including objective-setting, in-field coaching, mid-year and annual reviews and development planning
Engage with KOLs, Regional PAGs and Regional/State PSs
Gather, distill and share RTLL learnings and key insights from KOLs, Regional PAGs and Regional/State PSs and establish a national point of view through close collaboration with the Director, RTLLs - West
Ensure RTLL insights are actionable where appropriate; role will include compliant coordination with fellow Marketing team and cross-functional workstreams (e.g., market research, competitive intelligence, messaging, promotional content development, etc.)
Identify potential opportunities for appropriate collaboration with PAGs and PSs, in close coordination and alignment with Corporate Advocacy, that can help serve to simplify the Early AD journey
Appropriately collaborate with Corporate Advocacy, Commercial and Medical field leadership teams to ensure coordination of engagements with KOLs, PAGs and PSs
Develop, lead and execute engagement plans with Regional and emerging KOLs as well as PAGs and PSs, ensuring interactions are captured and appropriately shared through internal systems and communication platforms
Lead appropriate engagement with regional/local advocacy groups and professional societies (in partnership with Corporate Advocacy), ensuring that RTLLs serve as central points of Eisai engagement with regional PAGs and PSs
Co-lead communication of Regional Thought Leader Liaison updates regarding KOL, PAG and PS engagements through the US KOL Engagement Working Group
Establish processes for appropriately triaging sponsorship requests that come through RTLLs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA desirable
12+ years relevant pharmaceutical experience
Work experience in Alzheimer's therapeutic area strongly preferred
Brand leadership experience preferred, including brand business planning, P&L management, life cycle planning, finance/forecasting, supply chain management, pricing & reimbursement
Experience successfully leading a team
Experience working effectively in a culturally diverse matrix environment; strong ability to influence
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
Experience in development and implementation of brand plans
Must be a strong strategic thinker, able to assess a range of variables including market trends and opportunities, competition, research progress, etc., in order to craft strong near- and longer-term marketing strategies. This requires strong analytical skills, combined with a strong market orientation to identify breakthrough opportunities.
Comprehensive understanding of legal and regulatory issues impacting pharmaceutical product marketing as well as the dynamics driving the US health care environment
Able to integrate business knowledge, financial knowledge and analyses of available information to make sound business decisions. Can apply financial analysis to build business cases that drive quality decision making and management processes
Significant travel required (50%), including some weekend travel
Ability to operate a motor vehicle legally, safely and successfully is required; candidates must have a valid driver's license to be considered
