Overview:
The position of Material Handling Team Lead - HV/Pad Lines, will assist the Material Handling/Shipping Manager with the location, condition, order, handling, and accuracy of all materials on HV and Pad Lines. This role is accountable for Material Handling individuals on the HV and Pad lines.

Responsibilities:
Manage Production Material Handlers to ensure the following:

Production departments do not see interruptions in material flow to the lines.

WIP levels for materials are regularly cycle counted and accurately reconciled in ERP system. Coordinate with the warehouse to make sure that cycle counts are performed in conjunction with each other.

Material storage areas are clearly marked and in good operating condition.

Proper use of company equipment and inspection of equipment prior to use (Ex. Fork Truck).

Collaboration with Material Planners as necessary to support Supply Chain activities.

Actively lead Lean Initiatives, 5S, and other value creation levers.

Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
Education or Equivalent:

Associate Degree or other applicable experience.

1-2+ years of supply chain or production supervision experience in cross functional organizations.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Must have heightened sense of urgency and results orientation and competitive spirit

Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly, communicate clearly and handle internal/external challenges/conflicts

Lean / Six sigma training and experience

ERP System experience (Infor)

1-2+ years in manufacturing industry (preferred, not required)

Work Environment / Travel / Physical Requirements:

This position is located and based in Athens, GA

Position contingent on passing all applicable fit for duty requirements
