Your Role with the Company:

The Principal Process Engineer reports to the Hot End Manager and will be responsible for process management, including technical, process, production, and maintenance recommendations for specific assignments within the hot end process operations group. This includes batch, furnace, binder, forehearth, fiberizing, forming, wash water, and products for hot end and cold processes.


In this role, you will support and lead World Class Manufacturing projects, production and processing methods, and controls to meet customer-based quality standards in a manner consistent with the companys objectives. Through the application of process engineering fundamentals and advanced process control tools, you will ensure processes are centered, capable, and in control. Additionally, you will work to reduce process variations and resolve special causes of variation.


Employee Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Glass Science, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline required.

  • 4+ years of glass manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Process engineering experience in manufacturing required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Minitab is a plus.
