This position is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of inventory of products to management
Stocking inventory locations
Use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions
Draining and cleaning of reservoirs
Mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvements
Filling reservoir topping off reservoirs
Changing filters and breathers on reservoirs
Operating filtration equipment
Grease relubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment
Maintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systems
Labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers
Printing and completing planned PM's
Updating schedules in systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities
Reporting discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systems
Performing various wet chemical analyses to monitor quality of gypsum byproduct to wallboard specifications
Monitoring process feed product as well as wastewater treatment
Assisting plant operators in problem solving by providing analytical support
Providing daily reports of analyses
Willingness to cross train in the FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) Lab and fill in two days a week collecting and testing Gypsum samples
Must be able to operate lifting equipment (Fork Lift)
Must be able to perform lockout-tag out procedures
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required
Have mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Have a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and circulating systems operation, contamination control and maintenance functions
Previous work-related skill, knowledge and/or experience are required
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of operating moderately complex software and web-based programs for lubrication scheduling
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance preferred
Knowledge of lifting equipment (Fork Lift) required
Knowledge of lockout-tag out procedures required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment & Conditions:
This position requires a flexible work schedule: 40 hours/week (Sunday-Thursday) or (Tuesday-Saturday) and/or overtime
This position requires working in the internal and external environment
Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
Must be able to move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 500 pounds with the aid of mechanical devices
Must be able to lift and carry 5-gallon containers weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to troubleshoot equipment, recognize problems, evaluate options and generate solutions
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to effectively communicate (clear, concise, accurate) both orally and in writing
