The N921 Command Priorities Department, part of the National and Defense Intelligence Division, helps the Combatant Command Intelligence Directorates (J2) mitigate critical gaps and shortfalls, identify relevant emerging technologies, and create advanced solutions to address mission challenges. Roles & Responsibilities: In this role, you will lead a 3 STE effort, working to resolve the most difficult mission challenges faced by USSOCOM J2 military and civilian staff in Tampa, FL. Qualified candidates will have a strong Combatant Command or Intelligence Community background with demonstrated technical experience in advancing intelligence analysis, data analytics, scalable data architectures, and intelligence mission planning capabilities. As Principal (L5) Project Leader, you will serve as MITRE's on-site trusted advisor to J2 Leadership, and will be required to: Sustain and grow our strong relationship with J2 Intelligence Mission Systems senior leadership to ensure MITRE remains focused on supporting the immediate operational intelligence challenges of the Command Oversee delivery of impactful MITRE work on a 3 STE project Drive sponsor thinking and strategy to define, resolve, and deliver solutions to the most pressing technical challenges faced by the J2 Manage project and report status within sponsor workflows and battle rhythms Maintain effective and responsive communications with MITRE leadership team, ensuring the accurate exchange of information essential to sustaining our strong relationship with the J2 Basic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain Polygraph
Requires minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; 8 years of experience with a master's degree; 5 years of experience with a Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
A strong understanding of intelligence support to the warfighter, the organizations of the Intelligence community, and their responsibilities in support of intelligence collection, analysis, processing, and dissemination in order to support Commander priorities
Demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in systems engineering (or related science, technology, engineering, or math field)
Strong knowledge of intelligence processes and systems in use or relied upon by a Combatant Command J2
A clear understanding of the USSOCOM organization, mission and related intelligence activities
Experience supporting the requirements of a CCMD Joint Intelligence Operations Center
Recent experience with systems, tools, datasets, architecture, and/or processes involved in intelligence production
Strong knowledge of DevOps processes, architectures and associated tools
Recent experience with multi-domain intelligence data (PAI, CAI, traditional Intel) and its ability to augment traditional intelligence sources.
A strong understanding of the Common Intelligence Pictures (CIP), object based production, and the ability to structure and visualize intelligence information across all echelons
A strong understanding of intelligence practices related to supply chain and counter proliferation of technologies
A strong understanding of the technologies and strategies used for sharing information and intelligence with partner forces
