Our company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Tampa, FL facility that will be responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including minor building and equipment repairs, racking, welding, electrical work, and minor truck repairs. This role ensures that the facility remains safe, operational, and in compliance with safety standards. The associate will handle routine maintenance tasks, perform minor repairs, and assist with the upkeep of both the facility and company vehicles.

Starting Pay up to $25 / hour.


Facilities Maintenance Associate Responsibilities:

  • Building & Maintenance Repairs: Perform minor repairs to the building's infrastructure, including fixing doors, windows, walls, and flooring. Address any structural issues or damage in the facility.
  • Racking Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain racking systems used for storage or operations. Ensure racks are safe, stable, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Welding: Perform basic welding tasks for minor facility and equipment repairs, including fabricating or repairing metal structures, supports, or frames as needed.
  • Electrical Work: Conduct minor electrical repairs, including replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform safe, compliant work within the scope of local regulations.
  • Truck Repairs: Perform minor repairs on company vehicles, such as replacing mud flaps, light bulbs, mirrors, and other small mechanical parts. Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and compliant.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of equipment, vehicles, and facility systems to identify and address issues before they become serious. This includes HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to safety regulations by performing safety checks, keeping maintenance areas clean and orderly, and documenting inspections and repairs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Place orders for necessary parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks are completed effectively. Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance work, and inspections for both facility and vehicle systems. Use facility maintenance logs to track completed tasks and report issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Facilities Maintenance Associate Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic experience in welding, electrical work, and mechanical repairs.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for building and equipment repairs.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, particularly in electrical work, welding, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge, especially for light truck repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to address issues across various maintenance areas.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
