Job description

3.2. Coaching Professional Development Subject Matter Expert (CPD SME). The Contractor shall employ and utilize qualified personnel with appropriate combinations of education, training, and experience. The following paragraphs identify the specific labor categories and minimum qualifications required for each position. The Contractor shall provide the necessary resources and infrastructure to manage, perform, and administer the contract. The Contractor shall ensure all Contractor personnel are clearly identified as such when performing contract duties to include email signature blocks, answering telephones, within voicemail, and when attending meetings. 3.2.1 Directs the Command's Coaching Professional Development Program and is fully responsible for the direction, refinement, validation, and sustainment of the program; establishing the scope and applicability to ensure it is designed and organized to meet the Command's needs for individual and organizational development. 3.2.1 Provides leadership, advice and assistance for programs and projects related to leader and
employee development at all levels of management. 3.2.2 Advises the Director of Command Support for the purposes of increasing effectiveness and
productivity among the individuals and work units within the command. 3.2.3 Maintains adept awareness of the Command's activities, philosophies, objectives, and culture to
effectively assist the leadership in clarifying specific objectives that lead to developing strategies in achieving individual and organizational goals. 3.2.4 Uses a variety of skills, specialized knowledge, and experience to serve as a Coach employing the
specialized skills of presence, active listening, communicating empathy, and skilled questioning to obtain and maintain the trust to work with leaders and command members who are navigating organizational changes and optimizing their performance in current and future roles. 3.2.5 Maintains knowledge of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) program and obtains certifications in a variety of personality, aptitude, and ability instruments that is critical in understanding and improving performance. 3.2.6 Provides training and certification for unit level trainers, facilitators, and coaches in a variety of
teambuilding, self-awareness, and interpersonal relationship programs. 3.2.7 Provides direct oversight for program coaches and conducts supervision and mentorship for coaches
for them to maintain currency in coaching competencies. 3.2.8 Assists government lead in developing and managing USSOCOM's civilian leadership and
professional development course and program portfolio including university-level executive development opportunities, individual employee professional development programs, short term courses, seminars, and symposiums relevant to leadership and professional development. This includes open-enrollment programs and targeted training in the areas of organizational development, leadership, communication, and supervision. Coaching
Professional Development SME 1 FTE Location:
HQ SOCOM • Bachelor's Degree from U.S. Department of Education regionally accredited University; academic experience in the areas of adult education, human resources development, training management, leadership/organizational development, or closely related subjects is desirable. • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing military / civilian training and personnel management programs at the one-star HQ level or higher. • Minimum of 3 years Special Operations Experience or SOF Enterprise experience at the TSOC, JSOC, Component HQ, or USSOCOM level. • Minimum of 10 years civilian or military leadership experience. • Must be familiar with the International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited Coach Training Program and is willing to work toward, an ICF credential at the ACC, PCC, or MCC levels. • Must be willing and able to participate in temporary duty in CONUS and OCONUS up to 10% of the time. • Must have a current passport. • Must have current SECRET Clearance.
