USGI is seeking Capability Assessment / Analysis Functional SMEs to support USSOCOM Concept Development and Integration Division. Responsibilities Conduct capabilities-based assessments to support the development and sustainment of Joint and SOF capabilities and capacity.
Provide analysis support to re-shaping processes that align with emerging requirements to better support SOF.
Assist in analyzing National and SOF strategic guidance and SOF activities to support integration and synchronization of USSOCOM, Service Component, National Mission Force, and TSOC activities.
Support the USSOCOM Capability Gap Development and Management Process.
Support the implementation of DOTMLPF-P analysis and change recommendations.
Recommend solutions to DOTMLPF-P capability gaps which could inhibit the advancement of force development and management.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of all projects being conducted and ensure support functions are executed.
Oversee and perform the day-to-day management and administration of project tasks.
Perform as senior advisor and manager for the development of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint capability requirement documents.
Develop SOF and Joint requirement documents.
Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet task requirements.
Support the development of strategic guidance.
Support the development of capability-based assessments with HQ J-Directorates, Service Components, JSOC, and TSOCs, as required.
Participate in Force Development and Design-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (i.e., Conferences, technology shows, etc.).
Participate in wargames, experimentation, concept development, and implementation of DOTmLPF-P event analysis and change recommendation.
Provide SOF mission analytical support.
Provide expert analysis to identify solutions and areas for further study to address capability gaps.
Prepare general / flag officer level reports and briefings
Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access).
Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution. Masters' degree preferred.
DAU Requirement Management Level C Training (or equivalent) required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience assigned to a Combatant Command (USSOCOM preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience assigned to, or supporting, the Joint Staff, Service, or USSOCOM in a JCIDS-related assignment required.
Minimum PME level of Intermediate Service School (Army Military Education Level 4 or equivalent) required.
Demonstrated past performance as a government employee or contractor with at least one Special Operations-related SOFCIDS or JCIDS-compliant capability assessment required.
Experience supporting the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) or SOFCIDS processes at Level C (e.g., JCIDS forums, Working Group, Functional Capability Board (FCB), Joint Capability Board (JCB), Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), SOCREB, etc.).3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff.
2 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.).
Prior Service Member (O4-O6, E7-E9, CW2-CW5)
Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
