Job description

Overview Spathe is currently searching for a Capabilities Planner (Future Concepts)/Task Lead to join our team in the Tampa, FL area. Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities Capabilities Planner: Maintain an in-depth understanding of all assigned projects and ensure fully capable support functions are executed Oversee and perform the day-to-day management and administration of project tasks Perform as senior technical advisor and manager for the development of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents. Conduct capability-based assessments during the development of SOF and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents Develop SOF and Joint Concepts, support/attend conferences, symposiums, and forums, and develop capability requirement documents Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to designated project activities to meet task requirements. Support the development of strategic guidance with the Joint Staff Support the development of capability-based assessments with SOF Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) Support USSOCOM in the development of the SOF vision and strategy Participate in FPS-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (e.g., Conferences, technology shows, etc.) Provide SOF mission analytical support to the members of cross-functional teams, working groups, operational planning teams, and other efforts as directed, including those hosted by organizations external to the headquarters (Joint Staff, components, GCCs, etc.) Provide analysis to identify solutions and areas for further study to address capability gaps Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access) Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders Task Lead: Interact consistently with senior military leadership Execute day-to-day management and administration of project tasks Assign support responsibilities and supervise all task efforts Utilize, control and redirect contractor workforce as necessary to complete tasks in accordance with scheduled milestones and budgetary constraints Perform quality checks on all work products and interact continually with Government COR and any appointed Technical Representative (TR) Discuss concerns, and ensure total product/service satisfaction with the customer Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders. Qualifications Capabilities Planner: Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution
5 years' total experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian or contractor
5 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff
5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.)
Previous experience with SAP/STO access is preferred Task Lead: Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution - OR - 10 years of experience conducting Strategic Communication, Project Management, Marketing, and/or Business and Operations Management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian or contractor.
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff.
Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.).
Prior military experience as a senior (field grade) officer/NCO Clearance Required: TS/SCI Job Type: Full-Time Work Location: One location - MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL Travel: Up to 10% travel during the year.
