Job Overview:

The AR Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring the timely and accurate posting of payments, and generating financial reports for the management team. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and manage collections processes, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities for the AR Staff Accountant:

• Generate and send invoices to clients and customers.
• Monitor and manage incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting to accounts.
• Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure all payments are properly accounted for.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and manage the collections process.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual AR reports for management review.
• Collaborate with other departments to address client inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.

Qualifications desired for the AR Staff Accountant:

• Bachelors in accounting preferred, but not required
• 4+ years of experience in a staff accountant role with a focus on AR and a solid understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with Sage software & strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Location: Full-time, flexible work location: Monday - Thursday (10-hour days) with Fridays off.

Salary: $57,000 - $67,000, depending on experience.
