Job description

The PPL Production Manager is a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality work and exceptional customer service. They lead by example through demonstrated hands-on ability and willingness to ensure each job is always done correctly and to the customer's satisfaction. They provide a voice to employees and give them respect and appreciation.

The Production Manager works in tandem with the Service Manager, Service Coordinator, Delivery Advisor, and Product Specialist (Accessory installation team overseeing the installment of aftermarket vehicle accessories like hitches, appliances, satellites, back up cameras, surge protectors, etc etc on new-to-you purchased vehicles). The Production Manager's ultimate goal is a 5-star installation rating from PPL Buyers and External Service Customers! This individual must be service-minded, hardworking, and dedicated to providing the highest level of quality in the industry. We are seeking a person who is highly professional and who can work individually, as well as part of a multifunctional team.

I SERVICE PROCESSES: Assist with the development, creation, and oversight all of PPL's shop service segment initiatives, strategies, and shop operations. 54%

I-1 Ensures shop employees complete and processes all paperwork / digital documentation for each assignment in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner. 15%

I-2 Ensure proper repair order documentation, i.e., diagnostic procedures, test results, root cause, recommended correction, and labor requested on every repair order for each operation. 13%

I-3 Appropriately assist other technicians / M.R Specialist when required and successfully supports completing assigned jobs in a manner that is teachable and efficient. 12%

I-4 Participates in required training and also take personal initiative to stay up-to-date on relevant service knowledge, bulletins and other changes regarding new and existing products. 9%

I-5 Support the successful implementation of all safety, environmental and regulatory compliance protocols, policies and requirements. 5%

II TECHNICIAN COACHING AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Successfully develop the performance of individual Make Ready Specialist and Service Technicians in the service department to ensure all shop employees perform at a high level. 46%

II-1 Provide technical expertise, coaching and on-the-job training for beginner, intermediate and expert technicians/M.R Specialist to increase individual and team performance (Collect-able Efficiency). 22%

II-2 Provide technical support and information to service advisors, other service administration/management, and customers when appropriate 15%

II-3 Make recommendations to service management and/or general management for training to develop technicians as successful performers in their jobs. 5%

II-4 Provide Service Liaison and Service Manager with recommended improvements to the service facility, equipment, and tools in order to maximize the efficiency of the service department. 4%

Requirements

RV Service Technician Experience

Process and detail-oriented with developed organizational skills

Excellent written and oral communication abilities

Ambitious and possess a desire to learn and grow within our company

Experience in customer relations and handling customer concerns on a one-on-one basis

The ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with all dealership personnel, members of his/her team, and other employees in the service and parts department

Able to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and excellent people skills are a must

Strong written and oral communication skills

Computer proficiency

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident

A valid driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards

Benefits

401K plan in which the company participates. PPL will match 100% of every dollar put into the 401K plan, up to 4 percent of contributions. Employee will be eligible for the 401K plan during the first open enrollment period following their first anniversary with PPL.

Health Insurance Coverage. As of January 2022, PPL offers a CIGNA Healthcare insurance plan in which PPL pays $350.00 (Depending on plan selected) of the employee only coverage. Employee becomes eligible on the first of the month after their first 60 days employment. Initial enrollment, if employee chooses to participate, will be the 1st of the month after the employees has been employed 60 days.

Medical Reimbursement - Section 125

Vacation pay totaling 8 paid holidays per year

Vacation Pay (2 weeks after one year and 3 weeks after 10 years)

Salary Continuation for long term disability
