What we need

The Material Planner will bring strong analytical, collaboration, and organizational skills and is ready for a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated previous knowledge of production planning and inventory management along with a history of supply base optimization. The Individual should be highly organized, demonstrate the ability to work independently, proactively exercise judgement and identify impact of decisions downstream.

What we do

Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.

What you'll do

Customer Site Planning:

Translate site BOMs into a material delivery schedule which effectively supports project implementation milestones.

Collaborate with multiple departments (project management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, sales, installation) to ensure alignment scope and timing.

Develop KPIs and visual tools for project health check.

Translate scope & timeline changes and recovery plans into execution plans via ERP system.

Coordinate with procurement to make source level decisions and align ERP.

Material Planning:

Lead the detailed production and inventory planning process working closely with the production team, external suppliers, supply chain and operations engineering. This includes production, repair, and spares product.

Responsible for developing tools & analytics to report on inventory, as well as anticipated areas of risk. Including leading quarterly obsolescence review and disposition.

Implement and maintain inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure product availability. Including forecast development to ensure a proactive approach.

Collaborate with the production team and key suppliers on optimal material flow and presentation, visual and system triggers, and process improvements.

Monitor and analyze inventory movements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Collaborate with the supply chain teams to identify and lead risk mitigation planning for items that might impact the production schedule.

Provide regular updates on production and inventory performance to key stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Desire and interest to abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to current planning processes.

What you'll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, not required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Inventory.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Smart Sheets is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.

Our Environment

Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
