Software Engineer - Principal I - ESW05 - Open Quantum Science Solutions is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. QSS is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. Responsibilities: • Developing security systems for any manual or automated systems environments which comprises on-prem and Cloud based systems. • Working with commercial, custom and/or government computer product vendors in the design, evaluation, and architecture of state-of-the-art secure GOTS/COTS applications, operating systems, networks, databases, and custom-built technology. • Ensuring the protection of organization data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, and unauthorized modification. The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be comfortable working with a variety of different tools and appliances, security challenges, and troubleshooting various complex issues. Required Skills: • U.S. Citizenship • Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. TS/SCI is preferred. • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability • 6+ years of software development experience required. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development and related technologies • 2+ years of experience with Agile software development • Experience in the installation and configuration of SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) • Experience securing network traffic via AWS API Gateway and AWS Application Load Balancers, cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM) • Familiarity with intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), RSA Security Analytics (NetWitness), Symantec Bluecoat, Cisco FirePower (SourceFire), Splunk, PKI, chain of trust, and certificates. etc. Desired Skills: • 5+ years of Cloud DevOps Administrative or Engineering experience • 3+ years of related Network Security Identity Management tools engineering experience, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting experience with one or more of these tools: o SecureSphere Imperva Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) o RSA Security Analytics (NetWitness) o Symantec Bluecoat o Cisco FirePower (SourceFire) o Splunk Desired Certification(s): Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Windows/Linux Admin, Cloud SIEM, CISSP, Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Certifications related to Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner (SP) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education. A Master's degree in a related discipline may be substituted for 4 years of experience
