Job description
ActiGraph is an international leader in the development of validated medical-grade wearable solutions used to measure physical activity, sleep, and behavior patterns in the broader global academic and pharma research communities.
The IT Analyst III will play an indispensable role within the IT Department. This role is designated for a highly experienced professional who possesses an extensive and comprehensive understanding of information technology systems. The incumbent will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, conducting thorough analyses of complex issues, and making substantial contributions to the strategic development of IT solutions. The scope of responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, system administration, troubleshooting, data analysis, and project management.
The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include:
Conduct thorough evaluations of current IT systems, procedures, and workflows to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
Work with stakeholders to collect and document comprehensive requirements for IT projects, including software development, hardware updates, and system improvements.
Oversee and manage IT projects by defining project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource distribution. Ensure the timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.
Train and support end-users on IT systems, applications, and tools, ensuring they can efficiently utilize technological resources.
Deliver expert support for complex technical issues by diagnosing root causes and deploying effective solutions to reduce system downtime and interruptions.
Assist in managing modifications and updates to IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during upgrades or migrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deliver high-quality IT solutions.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to aid in knowledge transfer and troubleshooting.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff, guiding their professional growth and fostering a collaborative and productive team culture.

Other detailed work activities include:
Technical Support:
Provide expert-level assistance for resolving IT issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
Collaborate with support teams on solutions.
System Analysis:
Gather and analyse business requirements with stakeholders.
Design and document system architectures and technical specifications.
Recommend software and hardware that meet business goals.
Project Management:
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain up-to-date IT documentation.
Train and mentor junior staff.
Share knowledge and best practices within the team and other departments.
Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery:
Participate in incident response during outages or breaches.
IT Policy and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, updating as needed.
Hardware and Software Procurement:
Assess technology needs, recommend solutions, and oversee procurement.
Physical Security:
Maintain the access control and video security systems.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred but someone with equivalent experience could be considered.
2-5 years experience in customer support or technical support, with a focus on Tier II or advanced support.
Ability to defuse difficult or irate callers
Adept in critical thinking/problem-solving skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledgeable in Windows and Microsoft Office
