Requirements Bachelor's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C/C++ Experience with Linux-based operating systems and command-line tools Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Ability and experience effectively communicating technical and programmatic issues Demonstrated ability to work within teams Strong organizational skills Top Secret clearance eligibility Desired Skills Up to 2 years of relevant experience in software development Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as: VMware, Docker, HyperV, Kubernetes, etc. Familiarity with web technologies such as: Node.js, Django, Flask, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture Experience with scripting in PowerShell and bash Knowledge of one or more of the following: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL Knowledge of one of more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins Knowledge of Agile methodologies Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools Description This position is for the NCRC Range Modernization (RM) Junior Software Engineer position providing junior- level development, testing, and support associated with their designated NCRC product scrum team. Perform as a junior software developer on an NCRC product scrum team Support resolution of open program problem reports (PPRs) associated with their designated NCRC product scrum team Develop unit tests for development assignments and support integration testing efforts Execute the software engineering tasks necessary to maintain and make changes to program baseline architectures Support cyber range capability assessments, evaluations, and technology prototypes Provide remote site support for setup, configuration, and delivery activities Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL Diversity & Inclusion We strongly believe in the abundance of differences among individuals.
