Our company was founded in 2005 and we have been caring for the Central Florida Geriatric Population for 18 years. WE care for patients in the Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living Facility, Home bound patients in the comfort of their homes.

The Medical Schedulers with Home Physicians Group play a critical role in patient care by assisting patients with their scheduling needs and use their clinical knowledge to provide patient support, answer questions, provide clarification on discharge instructions, and ensure that patients are booked for the correct procedures. They are the primary point of contact between physicians, medical staff, and patients.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

Scheduler Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Post high school education is advantageous.

• Proven experience working in a medical office.

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• The ability to type and file accurately.

• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft products

• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Good computer and electronic record skills

• Excellent managerial and organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

• Aptitude in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making

• Outstanding time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strategic thinking and analytical skills

• Reliable Broadband internet for computer connection (wifi)

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Scheduling appointments, handling reschedules/cancellations.

• Maintaining, reviewing and updating census(s) data daily

• Coordinate appointments with patients and their caregivers for consultations, evaluations, treatments, and follow-up.

• Gather existing and new patient information to ensure the patient is being scheduled in a timely manner based on the information collected.

• Conduct pre-procedure phone calls and confirm appointment times with patients through telephone. Also, reviewing and addressing discharges and hospitalizations,

• Prepare scheduling for patients needing diagnostic, imaging tests, and blood work per the provider.

• Constant communication with providers.

• Ensure new admits and D/C are being addressed per the workflow chart.

• Responding to Teams, Emails, as well as VM'S left for you daily and all should be addressed and cleared before clocking out for your shift.
