The Group Services Manager is responsible for the successful execution of each event within the Hotel. Also, coordinates with the Sales and Catering Department to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues. Negotiates with clients using creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs.

Responsibilities:
Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event
Maintain an active trace/follow-up system
Work directly with clients and meeting planners to coordinate and service conference, convention, corporate, and social groups with guest rooms, and/or catered functions
The position will guide and assist with menu selection, beverage selection, room configuration, and AV needs while up selling contracted food/beverage minimums, as well as associated activities and events
Will effectively communicate client/group needs to all hotel departments as they relate
Maintain strong client relations and ensure that meeting specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees
Monitor and manage room blocks according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue, making adjustments as necessary
Review sales contracts as well as other important information, i.e., room block, cutoff date, special concessions, and attrition clauses, and validate with the client prior to turnover
Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential affiliate business
All additional responsibilities as assigned
