Position Summary:

Position Summary
Responsible for collection, submission, receipt, and analysis of data for CMS and Joint Commission programs tied to mandatory hospital quality reporting including Inpatient and Outpatient Quality Reporting Program, Inpatient Prospective Payment Program, Hospital Value-Based Purchasing Program, Hospital Associated Condition Reduction Program, Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program, Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting Program, and others as required by the Medicare program. Also supports data requirements of various accreditation and certification requirements.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
• Collects and submits data to CMS for all hospitals in the OH system including summaries of abstracted data and results of EHR reports in compliance with federal hospital quality reporting requirements; collaborates with other departments as needed to
collect needed reports.
• Maintains awareness of CMS required submission schedules and ensure timely submission to avoid financial penalties.
• Maintains records of submission and archives of submitted data.
• Downloads, distributes, and archives CMS hospital-specific reports, user guides, and related materials.
• Performs comparative analysis and trending of CMS-reported data.
• Serves as Security Official for CMS Hospital Quality Reporting site, manages access for other key stakeholders, and ensures that hospital contact information is updated as required.
• Generates performance scorecards for incentive programs.
• Generates and validates scorecards from quality benchmarking database to provide leading data for CMS hospital quality programs.
• Maintains working knowledge of the latest CMS, Joint Commission and state regulatory data requirements and submission standards related to CMS hospital quality programs and keeps system quality team aware of changes.
• Assists administrators with access to and interpretation of CMS reports, measure definitions, program methodologies and proposed rules.
• Serves as liaison between OH and CMS for questions and clarifications related to submitted and publicly reported data.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
• Participates in design and validation of quality dashboards.
• Participates in System Quality associated team activities to ensure understanding of current states and needs of the organization.

• Actively seeks learning opportunities related to CMS and Joint Commission quality programs and requirements.

Qualifications:
Education/Training.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or an Associate's degree with 3 years of experience in healthcare quality data analysis and reporting. Experience and/or education specific to preparation and analysis of healthcare quality data. Computer skills proficiency to
include Microsoft Office Suite.
