We are currently seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our expanding team. Construction specialists focusing on Department of Transportation projects, Large Scale Foundations & Custom Engineered Foundation Solutions. Compaction Grouting - Push Piers - Helical Piers - Micropiles - Drilled Shafts - Tiebacks - Grouted Anchors - Auger Cast Piles - H-Piles Sheet Piles

COMMERCIAL & FOUNDATION SERVICES GROUND IMPROVEMENT & DEEP FOUNDATIONS

They serve all areas of Florida, focusing on the central region. Our client provides engineered, customized contracting with a specialized service utilizing the latest technology to achieve quality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop detailed and efficient roadway designs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Assist in the development of project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway infrastructure projects.
• Select appropriate materials and prepare engineering specifications for road construction and maintenance projects.
• Create alignment and geometric designs for roads, intersections, and other transportation facilities, prioritizing safety and accessibility.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities for roadway projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction, including plan review, addressing design issues, and overseeing project progress.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design standards and specifications.
• Integrate environmental considerations into roadway design, including stormwater management and environmental impact assessments.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules effectively.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; a focus in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred; will consider candidates with Engineer-In-Training (EIT) status.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup for occasional drawing and detailing needs.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and design software like STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and others.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, roadway design standards, and traffic engineering.
• Ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Collaborative and adaptable approach to work, with a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in roadway engineering.
