Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Director, you are responsible for interfacing with A&E vendors/customers and final validation of structural analysis and CDs needed for each site. Ensures structural and CD correctly represent the client's scope of work and are in compliance with all client requirements and are performed within all required client timelines. In addition, you will:

Establish an internal team (engineers + draftsmen) responsible for the completion of engineering deliverables within the telecommunications industry. Identification of qualified candidates, interviewing, training, and supervision of such individuals.

Seal and signature of engineering deliverables completed of the team if in possession of such licenses.

Ensure that the company has Certificates of Authorization to perform any services in states where engineering deliverables are being offered.

Conduct structural analysis on multiple assets within the telecommunications industry and modification design drawings for any sites requiring strengthening. Liaison with internal and external field crews responsible for the safe and efficient installation of any modifications or construction of new assets.

Business develop role to identify new opportunities for the company to leverage its current field crews to better assist clients with their engineering needs. Should demonstrate professional and technically competent communication with both internal and external clients.

Manage budget and P&L statements for the engineering team and identify ways to minimize capital expenditure costs within other parts of the organization and drive value through efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Conduct technical review and validation of engineering deliverables completed by third-party engineering groups in the context of assisting company field crews to optimize on-site activities and installation.

Qualifications:
About You:

You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality

You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work

You have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering preferred and/or any combination of experience and education, which meet the job requirements.

10+ years of experience in leadership roles directing a team of engineers

5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry

OSP/Fiber (wireline) construction experience required

Demonstrated experience responding to RFPs.

Ability to provide network readiness technical assessments

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Strong attention to Detail

Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suites, including Visio & Projects

Excellent time management; organizational; plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; and develops realistic action plans for the team

Ability to travel as needed to perform duties of the position
