Job description
System Administrator - TS/SCI Clearance Required - Patrick SFB, Melbourne, FL - Hybrid Environment Job Description As a System Administrator you will install, configure, and support an organization's Lab, and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure availability to all users and may perform necessary maintenance to support of virtualization availability. Support unit, integration and development test events, and ensure that the required test environment is available for each test event. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May administer network security measures and support all virtualization needs. Support all scan, STIG, and patch needs in lab, test and production environments. Responsibilities Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Design, build, implement, and configure lab resources and systems. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions if needed. Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems. Interfaces with customer service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Performing tests in the lab to support system patch, STIG, and configuration of products, OS, and other platform specifications. Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems integration, and implementation, including hardware and software for both windows and Red Hat OS as needed. Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products and updates. Provides assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, system security policy procedures, and/or strategy and operations. Provides input to policy level discussions regarding standards and NIST controls standards Support all developer operation needs for all network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities. Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems issues in the lab and production environments Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of hardware and software Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance. Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the lab as needed. Basic Qualifications Active DoD TS/SCI government clearance in JPAS Requires a DoD 8140 IAT level II certification or higher (example: a minimum of CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP) 5 years' providing technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations Proficient with scan, and patching in both windows and Red Hat environments Familiar with DISA Applications Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Experience researching and helping develop solutions for cybersecurity requirements Preferred Qualifications Proficient in troubleshooting both hardware and software defects in both Red Hat and Windows environments experience using Nessus software Proficient in troubleshooting both hardware and software defects in a virtualized environment Able to operate and meet imposed deadlines Able to work with minimal supervision or detailed direction Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Unlimited Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, Education and Certification Reimbursement Program, 401(k) retirement plan with safe harbor employer match after 3 months, Prepaid legal plan and ID protection plan available, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance available.
