Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a senior-level Information Technology (IT) Operations Specialist. This position is based out of Melbourne, FL and will require the applicant to be within a commutable distance to provide on-site support. This position will be responsible for: Maintains operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with development team. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Minimum of 12 years' experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years' experience with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years' experience with Ph.D.; In lieu of degree, 16 years of related experience is allowable. Experience with Windows system administration functions.
Experience with Linux system administration functions.
A current/valid Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT II Level Certification) or the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE Experience with STIGs, ACAS, SCAP, and Anti-Virus technologies
Experience with Ansible
Target Salary Range $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
