Job description

Overview:
Manages day-to-day running of the admin support for operations which may include construction, purchasing and/or customer care departments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports supervisor in accomplishing admin duties of overall operations of division.

Manage Start and Permitting Department for all homes under construction.

Supporting construction managers, purchasing managers, and/or customer care managers in their day to day administrative functions.

May assist in coordinating training, meetings, coding invoices, and/or travel for management in assigned departments.

Assist in training new staff on systems and procedures for respective departments.

Supervising staff and delegating some of items mentioned above or below to staff.

Education & Experience:
Ability to deal equitably and professionally with staff, management, customers and vendors.

Ability to communicate patiently and professionally with customers; ability to answer calls professionally and knowledgeably on behalf of senior management.

Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or deadlines.

Ability to use word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, presentation (PowerPoint), database and newsletter (Adobe) software for advanced internal and external communications, creation of reports and presentations and database maintenance.

Knowledge of Business English and related correspondence formats.

If managing staff, ability to manage administrative team effectively. Must be able to distribute work among team equitably and within each individual's abilities and resolve employee problems and issues that may occur.

Physical Requirements:
Typical office environment.
