About the Company
B6 Security & Investigations LLC is a private security and private investigations agency based in Orlando, FL, with operations throughout Florida and Texas. The agency specializes in post-disaster security services and is a frequent contractor of The State of Florida Department of Emergency Management Services, other government entities, and private clients.
Our Rapid Response Security Team deploys armed security guards after hurricanes and other disasters. We specialize in short-term, high-risk security needs. We also employ armed and unarmed security guards at static, everyday posts.
Job Summary
B6 is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the management team. We make the impossible happen and we are looking for others like us. We are problem solvers. We are rapidly growing, and we are looking for the right candidate to come along. Our new Admin Assistant will be an all-around support person who will help us make the impossible possible.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills; a great attitude toward problem-solving, and who rushes to assist when disaster strikes. If you have worked in a fast-paced environment; have experience working with people, has outstanding customer service skills, or recent experience managing logistics you might be a good fit here.
We will train the right candidate for our systems. We care more about your positive attitude toward learning than industry-specific experience.
The perfect fit candidate is a problem solver and a hard worker who follows workflows, keeps great records, gets things done, and does so with a great attitude. The right person has good character and professional integrity.
This is a hybrid remote position, with most days being remote. However, we will require in person attendance at our Lake Mary office for meetings or during a post-hurricane deployment. The position may move to fully in office in the future and we seek a candidate that is comfortable with either option. The job may also require local driving such as dropping a uniform at FedEx, picking up the mail, or other office errands.
Duties may include:
Answering phones and transferring calls
Communicating with clients and employees daily
Assisting with daily business operations and day to day administrative duties
Maintaining the company calendar
Clerical duties such as scanning, saving, and uploading documents and reports
Maintaining records and file structure, and other data entry
Following defined workflows for different projects and procedures
Helping to make calls and conduct on-boarding tasks during post-hurricane deployments and other staffing events
Assisting with HR tasks such as saving things to HR files, helping onboard new employees, filing reports as needed, assistance with licensing compliance, ect.
Assisting with Ops tasks such as helping staff jobs and schedule new employees, making travel arrangements, coordinating deployment logistics, uniform checkout and recovery, ect.
Assisting with bookkeeping tasks such as scanning receipts and saving them in proper files, assisting the bookkeeper and Accountant with specific requests
Assisting with sales support such as doing assigned research and creating leads lists for the sales team, signing sales staff up for different networking opportunities, ect.
Providing Office support to the executive team as needed
HOURS
We have two shifts available- 6am-2pm, 1pm-9pm
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
A quiet home office space free from distractions and background noises
Ability to work from our Lake Mary office and/or run office errands when needed
Ability to work full time in-person if/when required
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must pass background check and drug test
Must consent to NDA and maintain the confidentiality of our clients, jobs, and employees.
Must be tech savvy and able to learn our different systems, and can switch between them seamlessly
Excellent time management and organizational skills

Excels in a fast-paced environment

Is familiar with MS Office programs and can demonstrate proficiency
Has experience with customer service in a public-facing role
Has experience problem-solving in complicated situations
