Overview:
POSITION OVERVIEW

Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is hiring for a Software Development Manager to direct and participate in the ongoing development and modernization of mission critical applications that have integrations with various production and reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Agile team environment with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Requires a broad understanding of the Microsoft technology stack along with the ability to partner with product owners to ensure a balance of deliverables for both new functionality and reducing tech debt.

LOCATION

This is a hybrid position out of our HQ in Jacksonville, FL.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in the development cycle design, scoping, planning, developing, implementation, testing, and incident support.

Serves as a mentor to developers and supports peer review of design and code implementations.

Supports quarterly self-audits, permission reviews, and resolves security improvement items.

Supports continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presents these for architectural review.

Resolves a variety of high impact problems, when they arise, through in-depth evaluation of complex business and system processes.

Ensures the performance, quality and responsiveness of the application.

Improves team development related processes that accelerate delivery, drive innovation, lower costs, and improve quality.

Manages both local, remote and offshore employees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Requires 6+ years of experience relevant to application development.

Experience managing direct reports.

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Solid understanding and experience with the current Microsoft technology stack (.NET, SQL, Azure, web services).

Good understanding of database design, manipulation and query design.

Agile/Scrum or DevOps experience.

Experience with version control systems and branching strategies (Git experience a plus).

Experience in managing and implementing successful projects and ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

Exposure to test driven development, unit testing, and test automation.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in banking and financial services.

Experience with Cloud Technologies (MS Azure preferred).

Experience working with audit and compliance groups (SOC2 controls a plus).
