Skillbridge (DoD) - Studio Lead (Nation Wide)

This training opportunity is unique to ONLY Active-Duty U.S. Military Members with formal approval from their command

Skillbridge Training Start Date:

Start dates are dependent on the qualified service member. Dates are able to be adjusted as necessary

This opportunity is for an architect to lead our design teams on projects. RS&H is fortunate to have a wealth of project opportunities through our multiple long-term consulting contracts. Our projects range from planning to small renovations to large multi-building projects and include both national and international projects in locations such as Japan & Europe. This position is intended to be a career-building opportunity as the successful candidate will be asked to grow their architectural skills as a leader of a multi-discipline team. Successful candidates would also have career growth opportunities in Project Management, Client management, and business development. RS&H offers specific training in Project Management and Client Management as well as general career growth training and mentorship. We are focused on your architectural skills and teamwork approach in the delivery of challenging projects for a range of needs.

What you will do:

Once accepted/approved, you will be placed in a training program that will begin by introducing you to the core values and culture of RS&H. Your training will include by not limited to:

Strategy of Growth, Geography, Markets and Analytics

Legal and Risk - Client Contracts, subconsultant contracts, Compliance, Processes and Procedures

Technology & Innovation - Software Capabilities, Client Criteria, Secure Data (ITAR/CUI/NDA), cloud-based projects

Operations-BuildingsPursuit, Pre-Contract, Quality Control, Project Execution, Deliverables, CA Processes, and Closeout

Essential Functions once hired as a Full Time Employee (FTE)

Provides leadership and oversight to a team of professionals with a shared focus of ensuring client satisfaction and quality outcomes. Leads the development of a cutting edge design and production team by developing and retaining existing associates and recruiting new talent and capabilities to the firm. Fosters a diverse knowledge of appropriate discipline principles and techniques.

Oversees and leads the delivery of multiple, high-profile design projects that are critical to expanding client relationships and growing our portfolio. Drives operational excellence, including profitability, operational efficiency, resource management, and quality deliverables. Provides subject matter expertise throughout the project.

Creates an engaging and empowering work environment for team, including communicating clear expectations and providing effective performance feedback through regular meetings, recognition, rewards, coaching, and disciplinary action, when needed.

Leads client relationship development activities while working closely with client managers and business development teams to drive top line sales growth.

Leads and oversees business development activities for the discipline, including submitting qualifications, LOIs, and proposals, and conducting presentations for winning new work. Encourages and supports new technologies, tools, and training, that will increase the output efficiency of proposals and presentations.

Consults with strategy leaders to develop and implement pursuit strategies and techniques to improve sales performance, particularly for strategic/large (LPPs) pursuits. Consults with operational leadership to identify key hires to support strategic pursuits and market and geographic expansion. Consistently administers go/no go process to improve win rate and increase sales. Ensures pursuit quality management approach is consistently followed.

Collaborates effectively with leaders, teams, and associates across the firm to help drive success. Creates an environment that promotes teamwork. Coordinates and reviews resource level with other Studio Leads to ensure client needs are satisfied and associates are exposed to diverse and escalating project responsibilities.

Ensures adherence to all client and regulatory requirements. Provides expertise on codes, quality assurance, and construction methods and materials.

Completes all other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Eligible/Approved for a DoD Skillbridge program

Active Duty Service Member within 180 days of honorable separation

Bachelor's Degree in architecture, interior design, or related field

Must possess thorough knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs

Professional registration/certification in discipline

Be US Citizen per client requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in a relevant field, from an accredited program
