Job description

CDR Maguire Inc., a national engineering and emergency management firm, is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our team. Forklift Operators will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, ensuring timely transportation of materials and products within the warehouse or production facility. This role is crucial in maintaining workflow and supporting daily operations.

This is a temporary position to support efforts related to hurricane Helene recovery. Duration of the role will depend on the project's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products.

Transport materials to production areas or storage, adhering to safety protocols.

Inspect forklifts before use to ensure they are in proper working condition.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are labeled and stored properly.

Assist in warehouse organization and cleanliness.

Follow safety standards and report any workplace hazards or malfunctions.

Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

Valid forklift certification required.

Proven experience as a forklift operator.

Familiarity with warehouse environments, safety procedures, and inventory systems.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Basic math and computer skills are a plus.

Must submit to and pass a drug test and motor vehicle record check

Must submit to and pass a background check.

Provide Form I-9 supporting documentation that proves your identity and eligibility to work in the United States
