Job Summary:

The Global Logistics Senior Category Manager will lead sourcing and supplier management activities as well as define and enforce supply chain procurement policy worldwide (NORAM, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC) focusing on understanding, optimizing, and directing supply chain spend and asset utilization. This role will be either virtual within the continental US or based at our Miami Lakes HQ and will be required to attend meetings during non-office hours as needed to support our international operation. The role is one of five global indirect procurement leaders reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement (HoIP) accountable for optimizing spend value and supply performance across the company. The organization rolls into the office of the CFO.

Responsibilities:

Developing and executing against supply chain category management plans designed to enable short-and long-term warehousing, transportation, and trade strategies across the company. This will primarily consist of all modes of transportation, warehousing, trade services, supply chain technologies, freight pay & audit, and 3PL/4PL/LSP suppliers.

Building and maintaining Cordis stakeholder relationships to report on current supply chain spend and supplier performance, and staying in the loop on and prepare for upcoming activities that impact supply chain spend.

Conducting economic analysis, cost modeling, TCO analysis in support of strategic sourcing and optimization efforts. Developing credible business case for initiatives and outcomes, supported by market data, commercial objectivity, and relevant business and technical factors.

Leading direct and indirect Cordis teammates through strategic sourcing processes including supply market engagements, RFI/Ps, negotiations, contracting, awards, and transition processes.

Following a savings measurement and tracking methodology agreed with the HoIP and ensuring ongoing management and reporting of the same to deliver target efficiencies.

Driving contracting, contract management, SOW reviews for all relevant suppliers within the category(ies) in scope, including ensuring contract lifecycles are managed proactively and addressed within the sourcing strategy(ies) created.

Ensuring vendor onboarding and system compliance for suppliers post sourcing and optimization (e.g. raising and tracking POs, driving integration plans, supporting issue resolution).

Communication and management of relationship with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels, both during procurement processes and during the service delivery phase (including monitoring, reporting, and continuously improving against KPIs).

Direct accountability for accurate and timely management information, including ensuring compliance with relevant procedures for governance, risk and control and assuring the quality of all required information for Executive leadership.

Qualifications:

7-10+ years of supply chain procurement experience and significant experience managing sourcing activities, negotiations & contract reviews.

3+ years of experience in a role directly supervising and leading teammates and/or contractors.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering, or a related field

Deep working knowledge of the supply chain industry commercial landscape and prior experience negotiating mid to large enterprise contracts and pricing models. Experience with outsourced supply chain environments is desirable.
