Overview:
The Payroll Assistants responsibilities encompass meticulous processing of time and attendance records, ensuring strict adherence to established policies and procedures. Additionally, they maintain data integrity by reviewing error and discrepancy reports and promptly rectifying any issues to uphold accuracy. Collaborating with the payroll manager on special projects and supporting the supervisor in managing day-to-day operations are key aspects of the role.

Timely and accurate response to payroll inquiries from internal stakeholders is crucial. Administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management, contribute to departmental efficiency. Regular audits of payroll records are conducted to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. The assistant actively participates in developing and implementing payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. They serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and escalations, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions. Additionally, the assistant supports the seamless onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring compliance with payroll-related documentation and facilitating final payments. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in payroll administration is a plus.
Two years of experience in payroll processing is preferred, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment.
Proficiency in payroll software systems, with experience in PeopleSoft or similar platforms highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
Commitment to upholding confidentiality and handling sensitive payroll information with discretion.
