Job description

Overview:
This position is responsible for managing all technical accounting and related reporting of Hard Rock's global businesses. This role is also instrumental in providing financial leadership and supporting new and existing programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate periodic financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to Seminole Hard Rock Support Services policies and procedures

Play an integral role in managing a highly responsive technical reporting department that interfaces across the organization to support key business initiatives.

Research and analyze technical positions and compliance efforts related to local US GAAP, IFRS, GASB and other country by country GAAPs. Key accounting topics include:Purchase Accounting - business combinations

VIE/VOE acquisition/consolidation accounting

Equity Method

PPE

Internal Use Software

Revenue recognition

Proactively monitor and implement new standards

Preparation of technical accounting memos

Assist in the development and implementation of global technical accounting trainings

Develop, communicate, and maintain accounting policies and practices

Teach/coach and document employees who fail to meet standards to maintain a high-quality workforce. Reporting to this position is the PPE Accountant

Liaise with internal financial reporting and external audit teams, and other stakeholders to address queries and meet reporting deadlines

Coordinate monthly with property controllers, IT, members of finance, tax, treasury, legal, merchandise and other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting requirements

Drive process improvements and efficiencies related to technical reporting, including the amalgamation of information from various properties

Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners, and investors.

Operate ethically and in accordance with professional standards.

Other projects as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting with advanced Master's degree preferred.

CPA or equivalent certification required.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience

Must possess excellent time management skills

Strong communication skills, including being a good listener and articulating complex issues in a crisp, compelling, and insightful manner.

Microsoft Office proficiency.
