Night Audit Supervisor Job Summary: The Night Audit Supervisor oversees the nightly operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and exceptional guest service throughout the late-night hours. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a small team effectively. Key Responsibilities: Financial Duties: Conduct nightly audits of hotel financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Verify all revenue from various departments (rooms, food & beverage, etc.) and reconcile discrepancies. Prepare daily financial reports summarizing revenue, occupancy rates, and other pertinent information for management. Guest Service: Monitor and ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained during the night shift. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues as they arise. Team Supervision: Supervise night audit team members, including training, scheduling, and evaluating performance. Provide guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Foster a positive and productive work environment among team members. Systems Management: Operate and troubleshoot hotel property management systems (PMS) Opera and other relevant software. Ensure all systems are functioning correctly and address any technical issues that may arise. Maintain security of confidential information and comply with hotel policies and procedures. Night Operations Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure safety and security protocols are followed. Monitor hotel facilities, equipment, and public areas for cleanliness and functionality. Respond to emergencies and escalate issues to appropriate management personnel when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel night audit operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education in hospitality management or related field preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions: Work primarily during nighttime hours, with occasional daytime responsibilities as needed. Exposure to various weather conditions when performing property inspections. The role of a Night Audit Supervisor is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency and financial accuracy of a hotel during overnight hours. It requires a combination of financial acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests' needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year hospitality experience.
