Job Description for Retail Assistant Manager


Position: Retail Assistant Manager


Responsibilities:

- Assist the Retail Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring a smooth customer experience

- Train, supervise, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service

- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive store revenue and profitability

- Monitor inventory levels and order new stock as needed, ensuring optimal product availability

- Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards, ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment

- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner

- Collaborate with the Retail Manager to analyze sales data and identify opportunities for growth and improvement

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of retail staff

- Support the Retail Manager in any additional tasks as needed


Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is a plus

- Proven experience in retail, preferably in a supervisory or management role

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

- Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset

- Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising techniques

- Familiarity with retail POS systems and basic computer skills

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Foster a customer-centric culture among the sales team, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.

Operational Management:


Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Visual Merchandising:


Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create attractive displays and maintain a visually appealing store environment.

Team Collaboration:


Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among the sales team.

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, promotions, and updates.



Compensation details: 18.5-20 Hourly Wage
