Local Driver We have local flatbed driving positions out of Bristol, FL., and Graceville FL., Areas ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Driver is responsible for preforming a Pre-Trip inspection on each piece of equipment being used by the driver. Driver is responsible for securing and protecting their assigned load and transport and deliver to customer location while following all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Driver will be required to lift tarps, climb on load, pull and spread tarps and secure them over the load. Driver is to report equipment failures for prompt repair. Driver is to act in a professional manor at all times he is carrying out job duties. Driver is to perform a post-trip inspection and report any repairs to be made. QUALIFICATIONS Possess a Class A CDL, must be over 23 years of age, must have a minimum of two years of verified Class A driving experience, pass drug screening, must have a clear MVR Understand and follow oral or written instructions issued by supervisors Ability to exert muscle force to secure loads and tarps - capable of handling and or occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly Ability to work well as part of a team Ability to complete loads, deliveries, truck servicing and daily inspection tasks Understand basic mathematical skills Understand semi-trailer/truck components and operation Excellent eye-hand-foot coordination COMPANY BENEFITS We are excited about your interest in a lumber manufacturing career.
