Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Medication Technician to be a vital part of our wellness team! In this role, you will help ensure the safety and well-being of our residents by administering medications with precision and care, all under the supervision of our licensed nursing staff.

Position Summary: As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and administering medications to residents while maintaining a warm and supportive environment. Your attention to detail and compassionate communication will play a crucial role in our residents' health and happiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications safely and accurately, following all established policies and state regulations.

Complete documentation for each medication administration promptly, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

Communicate effectively with team members during shift changes, sharing important information about resident care and any concerns.

Maintain the security of medication storage and perform regular checks on narcotics.

Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the Wellness Director.

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and social engagement.

Follow safety protocols and respond promptly to all requests for assistance.

What You Bring:

A positive and empathetic approach to resident care.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a supportive atmosphere.

Successful completion of a state-approved medication administration course.

Previous experience as a Medication Technician or working with older adults is preferred.

Education & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test, and physical.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable interacting with residents, staff, and family members.
