Job description

The Senior Electronic Technician shall meet all the listed qualifications listed under the SSET position except for the minimum of five (5) years of experience in the supervision of a staff of at least five (5) personnel and the following. i.Analyzing systems operations and the results of systems tests, to ensure proper systems operation and determine the need for maintenance. ii.Ensuring accomplishment of the required services in accordance with the guidance and direction of the BEP COR. iii.Ensuring that system malfunctions are identified and, where possible, corrected and advises the SSET of all malfunctions and the actions taken for correction. iv.Initiating authorized tests of the operation of the security system and designated components and subsystems to ensure proper operation or to identify the need for maintenance. v.Advising the SSET of abnormalities and shortcomings of the existing system that may significantly affect the design of next generation systems, or results in the identification of better methodology or operational techniques. vi.Reporting any problems noted with the systems to the SSET. vii.Serving as a lead technician, is also a working member of the maintenance/installation team. viii.The Department of Labor defines an Electronics Technician III as one who applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
