Sr Mgr Information Systems - Tech & Workforce

This leadership role is essential for driving the technology strategy and architecture to support Workforce Strategy and Planning processes, including the establishment and ongoing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR technologies and data models, as well as a solid ability to partner with business collaborators to drive strategic decisions and deliver innovative technology solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Technology Product Owner for the HR Tech & Workforce product team, leading the design and implementation of technology capabilities that support Workforce Strategy and Planning.
  • Implement strategies for technology capabilities needed to enable startup and ongoing operations of the Tech & Workforce initiative
  • Drive the implementation and integration of workforce planning tools like Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, and Anaplan Workforce Planning into Amgen's ecosystem.
  • Partner with Tech and Workforce business domain experts and technology platform experts to optimize data sharing and drive business value
  • Develop and implement operating models to support DevOps and agile delivery within the Tech & Workforce initiatives
  • Manage a global team of 5-10 internal and external resources to deliver day-to-day support, enhancements, and new technology capabilities for the Tech & Workforce initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional governance to ensure executive alignment of technology investments, including active relationship-building and engagement with key collaborators
  • Continue to mature the operating model with Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) and key business owners to enable technology service delivery to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Lead engagement with HR and HR Tech & Workforce business partners in a client-facing role, co-creating business value by developing architectures that support business needs
  • Oversee the development and management of the HR Tech & Workforce City Plan and corresponding roadmap, ensuring successful execution of technology initiatives by external partners
  • Lead source system data investigations to enhance data integrity and decision-making processes
  • Travel expectation is up to 25%, including international travel

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Technology experience

Or

Masters degree and 6 years of Information Technology experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 8 years of Information Technology experience

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of Information Technology experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Technology experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in leading the design and implementation of technology and data architecture to support analytics and integrations, including workforce planning and modeling systems like Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, and Anaplan Workforce Planning
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of partnering with HR business stakeholders to drive strategic decisions
  • Experience working in regulated environments such as GxP and/or SOX
  • Familiarity with Automation and Artificial Intelligence capabilities in HR technology contexts
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams within an agile operating model
  • Oversight experience of teams that design and deploy technology capabilities for integrated HR and Financial landscapes

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
