Job description

Evolver Federal is seeking a Software Development Manager to satisfy a requirement for a potential government client. Responsibilities The Software Development Manager will work directly alongside the PM and DPM and be responsible for Leading teams of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining START (built on ServiceNow products and platforms)
Conducting proof of concepts to validate the technical ability of new application capabilities.
Developing estimates, managing schedules and communication for new features and releases.
Developing training and approaches that will promote the software engineering capabilities of the team.
Constructing code review standards for the software engineers to identify defects or issues and recommend possible solutions.
Directing teams in the creation of unit tests for regression and refactoring.
Occasionally diagnosing and resolving application issues that may stem from production.
Maintaining coding best practices as part of an integrated agile team to build features that meet project needs and will serve as the development lead for agile sprint efforts. Basic Qualifications: Top Secret/SCI
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or a comparable qualification
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field such as Information Systems, Information Sciences and Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc., or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
5 years of progressive management experience
10 years of leading teams of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining applications
10 years of experience maintaining coding best practices as part of an integrated agile team to build features that meet project needs and will serve as the development lead for agile sprint efforts. Preferred Qualifications: Proven deep understanding of ServiceNow's platform, modules, architecture, developer instance, and all applicable tools including ServiceNow Studio, Visual Studio Code, and ServiceNow PowerShell cmdlets
Poven understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies, including Agile sprint plans, code reviews, and change management procedures
Proven competency in leading and managing teams of developers with experience in setting priorities, managing risks and timelines and potential issues that may arise
Competency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Glide API, server-side scripting, data imports, and exports, REST API, and OData API
Proven knowledge with Barium Best Practice Engine, WebStorm, Browers debuggers and Splunk
Experience and expertise in setting up and configuring data integration between ServiceNow and other systems
Familiarity with change management and security approval processes and security regulations such as NIST standard SP 800
