Job description

Mayvin is seeking a Senior SharePoint (SP) Developer to lead the transition of their Knowledge Management (KM) site from SP On-Premises (SPOP) to SP On-Line (SPOL). This position will support the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Systems Support Directorate (SSD). Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance Required: Ability to pass DHS background investigation. Responsibilities : The SSD Front Office is requesting a contractor staff member to provide support transitioning the SSD knowledge management environment from SPOP to SPOL. The tasks include: Participate in team meetings related to the migration of content from SPOP to SPOL and new content development in SPOL. Plan for the migration of the KM site; determine the tasks and schedule necessary. Review of the current SPOP KM site, the technical details/layout/formatting of current pages, web parts, and content. Determine the best technical details/layout/formatting of pages, web parts, and content for a new SPOL KM site. Determine the actions needed to transition from the current SPOP KM site to the new SPOL KM site. Evaluate feasibility/best alternative of how to present content (features/availability in design have changed or been replaced by some other layout in SPOL environment). Evaluate page layout and presentation differences in "modern" (vs. classic) view in SPOL (Some web parts are no longer available or not in the same format as in SPOP). Be the SME on best approaches to functionality in new Power Apps vs. old InfoPath forms. Be the SME on best approaches and how to craft workflows that exist in SPOP to new flows in Power Automate to achieve same or better results in workflows. Participate in testing and pre- and post-test review meetings as well as troubleshooting solutions during implementation/testing/development phases and the rollout and cutover from SPOP to SPOL. Review test planning documentation. Recommend technical improvements, where appropriate to best use the Power Platform available/implemented by DHS in SPOL (note: the Power Platform features and components available for the DHS environment may not be the same as in other commercial environments - i.e., premium components). Assist in training SSD on the use of the new SPOL KM site. Required Qualifications : The candidate will be part of a contracting team and should be familiar with working on federal contracts. Candidates must also have good interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of an existing team. This position has high visibility and is critical to the continuity of operations within SSD. Detailed knowledge of CWMD Strategy and Policy across DHS and DoD organizations Experience and success managing this type of transition. Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or master's degree and 10 years of experience The candidate must have experience developing artifacts in both SPOP and SPOL and must have experience with transitioning from SPOP to SPOL. Transitional experience should include the transition of functions, not just the migration or movement of data. This transitional experience is critical because the SPOP and SPOL environments are very different. Where SPOP functions are not the same in SPOL, the functional aspects of the SPOP solution will need to be re-developed in SPOL. The candidate does not require a security clearance but will need DHS Suitability due to access to the DHS network and CUI data. Preferred Qualifications : SharePoint experience in the DHS environment is a significant plus.
