Job description

Position Title: Software Developer (Senior) Location: Remote with occasional travel to Washington, DC Position Overview: Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our elite team of low-code aficionados. As the senior developer, you will play a pivotal role in performing the modernization of a portfolio of applications using primarily Microsoft PowerApps technology. Your experience and expertise will be crucial with designing, developing and deploying of a secure PowerApps system, all while embracing the Agile mindset to foster innovation and rapid adaptation. Key Responsibilities: Utilize low-code application platforms, primarily Microsoft PowerApps, to modernize FMCSA's application portfolio in close coordination with FMCSA's business priorities. Implement effective and efficient workflows that reduce the burden on users. Automate repetitive tasks Interact with the existing transactional databases and repositories for data integrity Enable FMCSA to consolidate functionality from disparate applications and sunset current applications that are either deprecated or not maintainable Improve security posture of applications across the portfolio Qualifications: Bachelors degree or 8 years of additional experience. 10 years of progressive IT experience; including 3 years with MS Power Apps. Certification is not required; however, PowerApps or Azure IT Certification are a plus. Demonstrated experience with: Designing, developing, and deploying secure Power Apps systems. Implementing security best practices in the development and deployment of Azure cloud-based systems. Collaborating with end user and Product owners to design and implement new features and functionalities using agile practices. Developing requirements, generating conceptual design and detailed design documentation, and driving the implementation of a modernization projects Facilitating design discussions and reviews with Senior IT leadership to solicit feedback and gain concurrence. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions. Exceptional communication skills to work seamlessly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably Department of Transportation Active Public Trust clearance Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge.
