Senior Knowledge Manager (15.18) OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties OCT currently has an opening for a Senior Knowledge Manager to work with our federal client, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Acquisition Governance & Oversight (AGO) and Acquisition Support Directorate (ASD). This position reports to the Acquisition Support Directorate (ASD) Lead as well as the Customer Service Support Project Manager. This position is contingent upon contract award. Day to day responsibilities will include: Comply with CBP IT Security and other applicable contractor/employment requirements; correspondence, communications & branding, and related administrative/personnel management requirements; and delivery of professional work product deliverables, on time, with proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and providing professional work products ready for presentation to senior leadershipSupport Knowledge Management functional area by using concepts, processes, tools and methodologies of knowledge management. Assist with development, design, set up and maintenance of a website/portal for knowledge dissemination. Analysis, interpretation and implementation of regulations, directives and procedures pertaining to knowledge management. Create documents and implement knowledge management governance policies and procedures. Identify critical organizational needs for retaining and leveraging knowledge from the acquisition workforce. Understand the organizations' strategic plan, mission, vision and goals and use them to develop an approach for a CBP wide acquisition knowledge management campaign. Develop and provide employee training on knowledge management tools. Provide support in the area of records management. This would include review and editing of reports, documents, records or other material to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformance with statutes, regulations and precedent decisions. Requirements:
Requirements: Must be a US Citizen. Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance; the investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check. Bachelor's Degree in any related field or at least 10 years of experience providing expertise in the responsibilities listed above to the Federal government. Ability to interface with senior levels of management. Ability to recommend improvements to current and future team operations and processes. Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data. Ability to present conclusions and recommendations to management. Ability to plan / organize work. Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to assist in maintaining the Microsoft SharePoint site. Must be able to perform in a hybrid office environment at the discretion of the client (working on-site as requested while maintaining the equipment necessary/provided for remote work). Benefits:
