Overview LMI seeks a Senior Facilities Space Planner to support a federal program management office in the National Capital Region. Responsibilities Manage space for a federal organization, including planning, and implementing space allocation plans. Conduct economic analyses to determine feasibility of alternatives for meeting facility requirements Develop criteria for planning new facilities projects Recommend new equipment installations to support mission requirements with consideration of latest technologies available; identifying and recommend modifications to facilities to accommodate new equipment. Analyze project proposals and recommend changes, and evaluate programs and projects to assure compliance with all environmental safety and security standards. Provide design, strategic planning, and program and project management on a variety of federal facilities projects, to include schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight. Act as a liaison between various internal and external stakeholders and manage interagency relationships. Capture supply and demand data for space resources. Create and revise seating plans; analyze the layout of a building, identify potential problems, and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions. Work with team on cost estimating, interior design, and building planning. Ensure organization is compliant with building codes and architectural best practices. Manage and evaluate onsite construction contractor performance. Create precise 2D and 3D drawings and models, as well as electrical diagrams and construction drawings using AutoCAD or Revit Qualifications Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture Ten (10) years of experience in project management Experience in Federal space planning and facilities management Proficiency in AutoCAD Ability to prioritize effectively Excellent oral and written communication Ability to work with large teams across multiple organizations Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills Experience in procurement and reconfiguration of furniture, to include color and material selection; experience in researching, developing, and selecting colors, finishes, and materials. Possess excellent organizational skills and strong time-management skills. Has the ability to work independently and take a proactive role to drive initiatives forward. Can coordinate tasks and set priorities with little supervision. Self-directed and detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a comprehensive government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information. The background investigation (BI) includes financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, and employment verifications. U.S. citizenship required. Highly Preferred: Active/Full U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI This position is contingent upon completion of CBP BI, customer approval, and funding.
