Location: Washington, DC Referral Bonus of $3000 Benefits: - Health, Dental & Vision with the company paying 100% for the primary's health insurance. - 401k: Company matches up to 4% of your contribution - 4 Weeks of PTO - 11 Paid Holidays Clearance: TS/SCI Required Qualifications : Must have active TS/SCI Security Clearance. A minimum of 3 years of SCIF management experience and/or Security Escort Experience or similar is preferred. Someone currently working for DOC or one of their bureaus with an active SCI with the agency is highly desired. Comfortable with using a computer, VTC equipment and scheduling appointments. Job Description/Capabilities: The SCIF Specialist will screen persons entering the SCIF, verifying security levels and allowing access only to those authorized persons having legitimate business within this area and restricting access to those unauthorized individuals. The SCIF Specialist shall be alert and attentive, greet those entering SCIF, provide general information resources to authorized employees, customers, and persons visiting the SCIF. Duties/Responsibilities: Must be able to work a schedule which includes Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. Monitor physical security including alarms, entry and exit logging, facilities checklists, compliance with SCIF requirements for accreditation and implement personnel security measures, including ensuring all visitors and staff located in the SCIF have proper clearances. Computer skills to setup and minor troubleshooting of VTC equipment. Ability to create professional emails and schedule appointments. Responsible for prevention of detection of intrusion, unauthorized entry or activity, vandalism or trespass into DOC/NS3 secured area. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers. Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Applies practical knowledge of commonly applied information security principles, concepts, and methodologies to resolve well-defined questions or conditions. Identifies information requiring protection, such as documents, materials, devices and designates the level of protection based on prescribed parameters, well-defined procedures, as well as internal and external policies. Identifies and performs preliminary inquiries of incidents involving the mishandling of classified information. Reports unusual or unfamiliar documentation to supervisor or higher graded specialist. Receiving and passing clearances from/to non-IDA SCIF facilities and maintaining accurate listings of SCI cleared staff using Security Center and other similar systems. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
