Job description
Amyx is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support our Department of Homeland Security in the DC/Metro area. Amyx is looking for a passionate technologist that will be responsible for delivering projects in support of our various Federal Government Contracts. As a Sr. Program Manager with a strong Technical background you will lead the team through the entire security delivery lifecycle. You will evaluate solutions, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You will be a key member of the team and a key reason for its eventual success. We are looking for someone who is passionate about planning and executing, and can boldly lead happy, healthy teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Manage complete lifecycle for SecOps projects in a Federal Government Contracting Environment.
• Manage SecOps agile delivery for 10+ Agile SecOps teams
• Author various project documents such as Project Charter, Risk Management plan, etc.
• Develop and maintain the project plan and staffing plan according to customer requirements.
• Understand and manage stakeholder needs and priorities.
• Ensure delivery meets business demands.
• Work across different technologies spanning various platforms.
• Work with multiple teams and resources including Secure Cloud, Security Provisioning, Security Governance, Compliance, ISSO's, End User Services and Development, System Development, Performance Engineering, Testing, Transition, and IT Operations and get them to march towards a common goal.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
• Maintain meticulous records of project and program financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules.
• Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in various environments.
• Support business development, proposal activities, and white papers as necessary to promote the Amyx Team, identify new opportunities, and win Supported Technologies: Amazon Web Services, Fortify, Databricks AI, Tenable Security Center, SourceFire IDS, CISCO Nexus, Powershell, Linux, Splunk
Framework Experience - Metasploit, Core Impact, Immunity Canvas
Certifications: Offensive Security Exploitation Professional (OSCP) Qualifications Required: • Seven (7) or more years of experience in project and program management (Preferably 10 years) including: At least five (5) years of experience managing Cyber IT projects and programs.
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Desired: • Excellent client relationship and management skills.
• Account management, business development, capture management, proposal writing, and client engagement skills.
• Strong communication, visual presentation and technical writing skills are a must.
• Experience managing across the full lifecycle for cyber projects. Experience with Agile and SecOps preferred.
• Self-Motivated, Proactive, Organized, and Dependable.
• Capable of managing multiple competing priorities.
• Experience with project manager functions such as Estimation, Scope Management, Scheduling, Issue/Risk Management, etc.
• Good with managing requirements including eliciting, documenting, reviewing, and managing changing requirements.
• Background and experience with technology, security compliance and support specific to Homeland Security governance policies
